Craig Akers

Executive Director

Craig, a seasoned executive with a deep understanding of both technology and logistics, serves as Executive Director of the International Housewares Shippers Association (IHSA). In this role, he oversees all aspects of IHSA's operations, from marketing and sales to IT and contract negotiations. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering corporate alliances, expanding the Association's reach, and cultivating strong relationships with both clients and vendors.

Craig's vision for IHSA is clear: to establish it as the indispensable, trusted resource for the International Housewares Association and its members. He leverages his extensive experience in the industry, combined with his academic background in computer science and information technology from the University of Cincinnati, to drive innovation and ensure that IHSA remains at the forefront of the ever-evolving shipping landscape.

Sara Perry

Member Services Manager & Controller

Sara joined IHSA in July 2021. Her primary focus is to provide support for all IHSA members. She is excited about her new responsibilities and looks forward to working directly with the membership. 

Sara is also responsible for assisting with daily operations of the company, provides financial and administrative support to the Executive Director. 

Stephanie Crowe

Member Services Specialist

Stephanie specializes in customer service and member support. She is a natural problem-solver who thrives on helping others succeed by resolving issues and answering questions for members as they navigate the complexities of shipping. Stephanie is committed to understanding the unique needs of members, consistently providing patient, clear guidance to transform challenges into positive outcomes.

Beth Rudowski

Member Support Specialist

We are pleased to welcome Beth Rudowski to the team as our newest Member Support Specialist. With over 20 years of experience in high-compliance client relations and case management, Beth brings a unique perspective to our operations, utilizing her expertise in conflict resolution and resource coordination to master crisis management and complex challenges. Her ability to de-escalate high-stress situations and manage strict regulatory data makes her uniquely qualified to handle shipping exceptions and member concerns with empathy and precision. Holding a Bachelor of Science from Miami University, Beth is adept at building trust and ensuring operational accuracy—assets that will be instrumental in delivering exceptional support to our members.
