Financial Benefits:

Refund Program:
IHSA is a not-for-profit shippers association as required by the Federal Maritime Commission. Therefore, any funds deemed in excess of operating expenses are sent to the IHSA Board of Directors for review and disbursement to the members. CEO’s and CFO’s look at IHSA as another potential revenue stream for their company.

 

The amount of your individual refund is based on the level of contract participation during IHSA’s fiscal year.

  • $40,000 refunded to the membership in 2006
  • $108,000 refunded in 2007
